The Smoke chair is a modern version of a classical typology, the bergere chair which is well known for smoking cigars, reading a book, etc. It’s a loungy version that has been cut-off, stretched and lowered. The ears have been cut-off, but the back is still high enough to rest your head. The seat has been stretched and lowered, which results in a comfy feeling.

Smoke has been developed for and presented at the new pavilion of the Flemish Parliament, a design of farris.schöning, a collaboration of Italian architect Giuseppe Farris and Antwerp designer stefan schöning.

The U Chair is a smart and elegant update of a classic cantilevered typology. A flat oval steel tubing is bent into simple shapes to form the stackable structure, which is then upholstered with a high tech woven 3D fabric.   The design is intentionally low tech and simple, offering a sober yet sophisticated piece of furniture to grace an ofice, waiting area or home.   The U Low chair and its Ottoman are the first releases of the U Chair Series.   Dimensions:  Low Chair: H95xD90xW56  Ottoman: W72xL60xH36  Available end 2009.

A lamp you can position in space like a graphic mobile.
A thin line seems to float in the air; a puff of wind would have it slightly moving. According to wish or need, the whole lamp slides very simply in the T part that holds it.
